Frequently Asked Questions

bass robot
Q:
Why should my band record something?
A:
Lots of reasons. First, and perhaps most important, you'll need something to give to clubs for booking. If you don't have a recording, most clubs won't even see you. Another reason is to shop labels, or you might want something to sell or give to your friends and fans.
There are several benefits to the recording process other than the finished product - better musicianship, a chance to hear your songs without playing them, a chance to maximize your full potential as a band, a chance to make your music something more than it is so far.
Q:
What are your rates?
A:
Currently we charge only $40 per hour or $275 per 8 hour day. Just contact us if you want an exact price quote!
Q:
How long does it take to record a song?
A:
It depends on a few things - the number of instruments, number of players, how rehearsed you are, etc. The good news is that theres no pressure here! You can always do another take until you are happy with your performance.
Q:
Should we bring our own instruments?
A:
Most likely, yes. If you are very particular about your own sound, then you will want to bring your own gear. We do have some instruments available in the studio. Please call ahead of time and see if we have what you need.
